RVT
Born and raised in Rothesay, New Brunswick, I moved to Fredericton after graduating from the Veterinary Technician program at Oulton College in the fall of 2021. My true passion lies in providing exceptional nursing care for animals through all stages of life while building meaningful connections with pets of all shapes and sizes.
When I’m not at work, you can often find me enjoying quality time with my two adventurous cats, Purrl and Tuna—cuddling at home or exploring the outdoors together on leash walks. I also love visiting family and embracing the joy animals bring to every day.
I’m dedicated to making every patient feel comfortable and cared for, and I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends!
Questions
-
What is a funny and heartfelt moment you experienced in practice?
I always strive to make exams as stress-free and enjoyable as possible for my patients, and treats are a big part of that! One memorable moment came when a client dubbed me “The Cheese Lady” because of my habit of offering cheese to make pets more comfortable during their visits. The nickname stuck, and now several clients lovingly call me by it. It’s a little thing, but it warms my heart to know that these small gestures make a difference—and add a bit of fun to everyone’s day!
-
What would you say if you could talk to pets?
If I could talk to pets, the first thing I’d ask is how we could make their visits to the vet clinic more comfortable. Their feedback would be invaluable in creating an experience that feels safe, calming, and even enjoyable for them. After all, their well-being and happiness are at the heart of everything we do!
-
What is the most unusual pet you have treated?
One of the most unique patients I’ve had was a goldfish! I had the opportunity to assist with performing an ultrasound, which was both fascinating and a testament to how much we care for all animals, no matter their size or species. It was an unforgettable experience!
-
What inspired you to work in this industry?
My deep love for all animals inspired me to pursue a career in this industry. Whether they’re big or small, furry or feathered, every animal holds a special place in my heart, and I’m passionate about ensuring their health, happiness, and well-being.

What advice would you give to pet owners?
Regular checkups are essential to keeping your pet healthy, and if possible, routine bloodwork can provide valuable insights into their well-being. Starting at a young age, help your pet get comfortable with being handled by practicing gentle touches on their toes, ears, and lips. This makes thorough exams less stressful and ensures they’re more relaxed during vet visits. A little preparation goes a long way in supporting their health and happiness!
