With over 20 years of experience in the veterinary industry, Aly joined our team as Hospital Manager in October 2022, bringing a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the role. Beyond her work at the hospital, Aly serves as Vice President on the Eastern Veterinary Technicians Association Board, where she advocates for the growth and recognition of veterinary technicians across the region.

Aly's true passion lies in coaching and mentoring both new and seasoned technicians, helping them unlock their full potential and watching them thrive in their careers. Her commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning is evident in everything she does.

At home, Aly and her husband share their lives with two beloved cats, including a remarkable 19-year-old brown tabby who has overcome nearly every feline health challenge imaginable. From curing hyperthyroidism and removing tumors to managing kidney disease, diabetes, and arthritis, Aly's dedication to her pets mirrors her commitment to the well-being of all animals under her care.

When she’s not at work or advocating for the veterinary field, Aly enjoys exploring new opportunities to grow her skills and knowledge, always striving to make a meaningful impact in the lives of her team, clients, and their pets.

Could share a memorable story about a pet you have treated?

Over her career, Aly has cared for countless animals, each leaving a unique pawprint on her heart. One unforgettable patient was Ryu, a spirited Golden Retriever with a zest for life. Aly first met Ryu after a challenging surgery to remove a nasty tumor from her throat. Despite the ordeal, Ryu quickly became a beloved part of the clinic family, visiting every Saturday to spread joy and wagging tails.

Aly supported Ryu through a variety of adventures—helping her recover from her mischievous sock-eating escapades and providing laser treatments to ease her arthritis. Their bond extended beyond the clinic, and Aly remains close with Ryu’s family to this day, cherishing the memories of their time together. Though Ryu is no longer with us, her legacy of love and resilience continues to inspire Aly in her work.
What is your favourite animal and why?

While cats hold a special place in Aly’s heart (shhh… don’t let the pups hear!), her experience spans far beyond felines. Over the years, Aly has had the privilege of caring for a diverse range of animals, including snakes, birds, rabbits, hamsters, goats, guinea pigs, ferrets, and even a pot-bellied pig! Her ability to connect with and treat such a variety of species showcases her passion for veterinary care and her dedication to every animal that crosses her path—no matter the size, shape, or species.
How do you stay updated with the latest developments in veterinary care?

Aly’s passion for growth and learning drives her to stay at the forefront of veterinary advancements. She actively seeks out the latest podcasts, online seminars, and conferences, constantly expanding her knowledge base. For Aly, staying updated isn’t just about personal growth—it’s about empowering clients with the information they need to keep their pets safe, healthy, and thriving. By staying informed and sharing her expertise, Aly ensures that every pet receives the best possible care.
